August 1, 2020 - Ho'omana in collaboration with Passion Bakery, Kamealoha Smith of Hanalei River Heritage Foundation, and Regina Floyd of Online Business Development was awarded a grant to facilitate the feeding of houseless families living in 6 emcampments on the East side of Kauai from Ahukini all the way to Anini Beach.
All partners involved want to say a HUGE mahalo to the County of Kaua'i for a CARES ACT Grant to move forward with Ho'omana Meals Kauai. These funds will allow our nonprofit to feed 320 individuals dinner once a week for the next months! We are so grateful to the federal government for making these funds available through the CARES ACT. Ho'omana has been working the Lydgate Lāhui - Kamalani Kai for the past 4 months gathering food and other resources for ohana sheltered in place.
CARES ACT funding is making it possible for us to fulfill our nonprofit mission to our community.
Ho'omana assists the emotionally, mentally, physically challenged and those with disabilities by partnering with them as they go after every opportunity to reach their maximum potential.
